Anybody knows why Cadillac Tims website is not active any longer?

Scot Minesinger

I just called and the number I had is disconnected.  Sure hope he is continuing on in business.  If anyone finds out something please keep us informed.  Cadillac Tim is a very valuable resource in this hobby!

Bought a booklet from him a few months ago. Wanted to check if he had any Neutral Safety Switch #650 on the shelf. Planning on repairing the one I have, but a NSS in good condition is most likely better than a JB welded...

Profile page for cadillactim shows last time active 12-27-16.

Hope he chimes in here....

Crap.  I was hoping to get a 1970 Climate Control manual from him just in case I needed one.

Don't worry guys, I'm still around.

I just didn't renew my Web site host yet, as I may change hosts. My current business phone us 864-348-7732.

Tim,

GoDaddy offers the best for the least and great tech support.

Except when they screw up your billing, double bill you every month, and then cancel you because their fraudulent overcharge was rejected, and want money or long term contract from you in exchange for restoring the site the wrongfully cancelled . . . . and so forth.

Most people are happy with godaddy.  No-one is so-so on them--the rest of us loathe them; there's no-one in between.

I never have billing issues with them and their customer support is really good.
That's been my experience with them. I have four sites hosted with them.

There's tons of places for hosting and domain registration but I use them.

They are a good basic hosting service but thats it. For a simple static site Id say they cant be beat. Start adding content and videos and docs and purchases and graphics......🤔🙄.....not so much.

Deleting my site because of their own repeated double-billing (AmEx would reject the second charge), and demanding $100 to restore from backup, is pretty easy to beat . . .

OMG. I freaked out for a moment.

I hope when you decide to retire from the biz you make sure someone can take over.  ;)

This is going to sound weird, but give me a little lattitude here........

It's kind of like Tim has passed (his website is offline).  We never knew how much he meant to us until he is gone.  The good thing is he can read here (in multiple threads) about how much he is missed and appreciated.

Do a little CPR on that website and bring it back to life!

He makes it easy for us rookies to work on some of these systems.

See?  Not so weird.

Does he have a new site yet?

If not, how do we get ahold of him?
