Hi Cadillac fans in Buffalo, NY.

I am looking for information about the location and subsequent disposition of a car presumed to have been owned, at one time, by a Mr. James Lockhart of Buffalo, NY.
The Post Office has been unable to identify (or divulge) the resident(s) - in 1955 - of the address given as "RFD #1, Buffalo, NY"

In 1955 (yes, that was 62 years ago), it appears from the attached "official" document (a tax "stub") that Mr. Lockhart TRANSFERRED (to whom?) ownership of a vehicle which was earlier his private property.

Does anyone recognize this kind of tax "stub". Has anyone got a copy of a similar stub from that year (1955)?

What is "bizarre" - to say the least - is that the vehicle described (a unique, Swiss-bodied 1937 Cadillac V-16 roadster) was exported to Switzerland in 1937 and - to my knowledge at least - NEVER WAS IN THE USA (AGAIN)  until 1982-83 when it was acquired by well-known classic car dealer, the late Tom Barrett. The second pic shows what the unrestored car would have looked like in 1955 (it was restored for the first time since 1937, in Switzerland) in 1970.

Good hunting!
