Matt CLC#18621

Hello,

How difficult is it to change the upper and lower CKPs on a 2002 Eldorado Sports Coupe?

I was given a parts ($280..) and labor (3 hours) total estimate of $745.00 from Cadillac which seems like a lot of money.

RockAuto Parts has the upper & lower CKPs for ~$40.00 plus tax.

Anyone aware of any CKP recalls or TSBs at Cadillac's expense?

Thanks

Matt, Tsb's are available at the dealers option, basics can be seen at Alldata.com, but they do not  provide warranty coverage. The dealer charge is probably 100/hr. Plus some degree of reprogramming, both are bad,? sounds unusual.
