55 series 62 wiper switch

Ok,

I know you all are going to think I am dumb but, do you pull the switch out or turn it to activate the wipers? I know they are vacuum but the knob will not move.

in my 56 you just turn the knob. Probably the same for 55

I think the cable is seized and that is why I cant turn it.

My cable was always seized.  I pulled the dash out last fall and finally lubed that sucker!  I soaked it in Kroil.  Check the screw on the wiper motor out under the hood.  Sometimes the screw and washer are torqued too tight and makes the cable bind up right at the end.  I happen to have a picture of my 56 wiper control from the back of the dash!
