I have a 1957 series 62  - does anyone have a picture of how the fuse panel behind the floor speaker is secured?  it was floating around when I purchased the car and trying to figure out how/what it attaches to?

thanks in advance

I know I took mine out of the '58, which is the same, to inspect the backside for corrosion and think it was just (2) sheet metal screwed in.   It was on top of a fiber backed insulation piece also.
If it's floating around either the screws are missing, rotted floor/kickpanel, or missing insulation.   It's described in the shop manual, if you have one.

The fuse blocs from this area is rather primitive. At the back, there are 2 flanges which are inserted into the firewall insulation. No screw, just that primitive method. Even the expensive '57 Brougham has this system.
When I replaced the car's wiring, I did no picture from the back, just from the front. Your fuse block is looking more or less the same.

I believe that the fuse panel was changed for 1958; it is less archaic than before.

Quick question regarding fuses.  My radio powers on but I don't get a signal.  It worked fine about 3 weeks ago.  Is this a fuse issue or a power unit issue?
