It is easy to find carpet kits but have been unable to find trunk kit.  I would appreciate any leads on this

Gary,

Jenkins use to offer complete kits for Eldorados. OPG and USA offer cardboard panels for a variety of years. I’m not aware of anyone offering kits specific for a Sixty Special. If a kit can't be found, I’d suggest borrowing a set of cardboards from someone with an original set, or asking for a set of patterns in order to make your own. OPG offers the cardboard stock. The original had a slight embossed grain. The edges had stiched attached binding. The floor was the burlap weave fabric with rolled glued edges laid over a thick tar paper type padding on the floor.

In ’57 the trunk compartment was finished in black, red, Dk blue, Lt blue, Dk green, Lt green, gray or tan to coordinate with the interior. Today we have a choice of black or neutral tan interiors…….'nuff said.

Check with these folks. Diane will help you out. They did my carpet and because they didn't have my 4dr patterns we worked and figured it out together and I now have a great custom interior with new skins as well CHEAP! $800 for carpet and both custom seat covers: http://www.automotiveinteriors.com/
