Thinking of buying some wheels/rims for my 55 to put bias ply tires on so I will not have a deduction when I get the Cadillac judged. Can someone provide me the dimensions of the wheels I know there 15" but what is the width and backspace? l'm i correct that the lug spacing is 4 3/4? I checked my books and posts but could not find this information.

Thanks,

Bob,
I have 5ea original 1955 wheels in storage. (I put spoked wheels on my CDV, original wheels NFS) Once, when I switched to radial tires I bought a set of Chevy truck wheels to match the radial tires and ran them a number of years. (5inch bolt circle same as original) The truck wheels had a different back space then the original wheels but worked fine. (there's millions of them out there in the junkyards) I will pull one of my original wheels today and measure the back space.....walt...tulsa,ok

Bob,
The back space (as measured from rim outer edge to "high spots" that around holes) is 4 1/8 inch. Six inch is the rim width where tire bead edge is.....walt...tulsa,ok
