Eric

Is there a good/easy way to remove those little C-Clips that hold the window crank and door opener to the inside of the door?
I managed to get one off because one of the clips ends stuck out a bit more and I was able to push it out with a screwdriver.
The others seem to be seated a bit deeper.

I use a hook tool, a cotter pin extractor, just a screwdriver handle with pointed end and a hook.

Push the door panel in and hook one end and pop the clip off.

To install the handles pop the clip back on the handle and push them back on the stud.

Porter is right.  There is a tool available at any car parts store that looks like a scissor/plier just for this job.  I have both that, and the older shim tool.  It makes the operation easy and is not expensive.

Being a North Carolina Redneck and cheap to boot I fashioned a puller out of coat hanger wire. It has worked on every GM car I have owned, from the 38 to the 94. Pulls hair out of the sink trap too...
