In 1956 (I think) I sold as a pair a 1930 V16 limo and a l93l Stutz 4-door. Lived in Queens, NY then.  The Caddy was a true
Madame X  with raked one-piece windshield in v.g. condition.
The buyer was an out of towner, where from I do not recall. Sale price for the two classics was $350. Does anybody have knowledge
of the whereabouts of the V16?  Just my curiosity.  Is there a
V16 club or anything similar around?  Jerry

Jerry:   -Yahn, has compiled an extensive history elsewhere herein on these early Fleetwoods with Body-by-Fisher;  --and although apparently not the particular one you are eluding to with raked-windshield, heres an excellent picture of one of the specimens...   ~Bob vH

Bob. TARGET=_blank>http://photos.velocityjournal.com/images/full/2002/s2002080401/cd1930madamex5801.jpg[/quote]Bob.  MANY THANKS FOR THE INFO AND PHOTO.  IVE JUST DISCOVERED
THE C-LS CLUB AND WILL KEEP WITH IT.  A NICE START TO THE WEEK FOR  ME.  MY  FEELINGS ABOUT THE OLD CAD RUN DEEP. HAVING DRIVEN ONE,
YOU DONT EASILY FORGET THE EXPERIENCE. MAYBE ANOTHER MEMBER WILL
COME UP WITH SOMETHING SOLID.   Jerry.

Thats not much info to go on, Jerry.  All the known survivors are shown in the V-16 section (survivors) of the Cadillac Database.  Hard to find yours without VIN or body numbers.

Good luck

Hello Yann and members.   Thanks for your observations.  The Madame
X that I sold is certainly the same model as nos. 4130S and 4175S
in the club register. A beautiful profile with the raked one-piece
windshield (with exterior sun filter), center-hinged front doors,
and expecially the striking chromed window frames.  A real pleasure
to drive, light handling and not short of horsepower.  I cant ima-
gine that, if not wrecked, it does not have a proud owner somewhere
out there.  It was a perfect restoration candidate, certainly not
a parts car.  It had 4000 (i.e., 104000) on the odometer and it
started and ran beautifully.  I suspect that it had an engine re-
build at some point.  Hope someone out there can supply some idea
of its whereabouts.  Regards.  Jerry.
