The seller labeled the  description "NOS 1968 Cadillac El Dorado right hand outside rear view mirror, part no. 990746, grp.no. 10.185."  His title is "1968 C adillac El Dorado R.H rear view mirror"  His item number is  4533995831.

Sold for $35.  I think Ive seen these go over $200.00

Search for all spellings of Eldorado!

Well, he had 19 people find the site, and two bidders, so there were enough people to let the seller think he had the add correct.

But, it is surprising just what people who mis-spell the main wording that limits the viewing public.

I see it all the time.   That is how I got my 1999 Cadillac radio for $1.00

Hello.  I was the one who bought this good bargain on Ebay.  I did not think I would win it for only $35.  I bought for my 71 Eldorado.  I dont know if it will fit or not.  If it does not I will just sell it on Ebay again.  I dont need an NOS mirror for my daily driver anyway.

And you met the reserve at $35?? Good grief! It seems the seller didnt know much. I search for misspellings, but nothing I search would have turned that up. Are the Eldorado mirrors the same as the other models, or different?

I just recently won a set of door edge guards for a "1969 or 70 Pontiac Catlina Bonnieville". There were a few lookers, but none for a Catlina or a Bonnieville. It wasnt particularly a steal, the price was fair. But at least I didnt have any competition raising the price for me.

Hi Randy,
Im not possitive but I think the stem and angle might be a little different, you could always shim it to the right angle if its different, or re-sell it on eBay for $200 and get a used daily driver mirror for about $50, I believe the 71-76 all models have the same mirror. A few years ago I sold a Right side mirror from a 1975 Sedan deVille on eBay for about $70 to someone who used it on a 71 Eldo. It looks like thiers no adjustment cable on that 68 mirror.

That mirror is correct for a 68 Eldo only. It can be used on a 69 or 70 Eldo, but it attaches to the door differently. It cant be used on a Deville as the base & head are very different. Bob

Lucky you!!
I won a NOS pass.mirror for my 70 Eldo, price $370.
The mirror does not give a good rearwiew but sure gives the car a good symmetric look though.

will a pair of 78 eldo mirrors mount onto a 68 eldo?  i purchased a NOS set with thermometer for $50, they were listed incorrectly under sellers inventory of 66 lincoln parts.

Happens all the time. It pays to put in your searches with different spellings.
