Tod - North TX CLC

I think I already know the answer to this, but I thought I would check with the professionals.

I have an opportunity to purchase the front chrome spears (just the fender part - not the front pontoon pieces) from a 1947 Cadillac.  I seem to recall that someone told me that the spears on the 1942 are longer than the ones on the 1947, and therefore, are not interchangeable.

Can anyone confirm whether or not I would be able to use these peices?

Many thanks in advance -

Tod

Tod - the pieces will be fine. The only spears that are longer are the rear fender ones [because the 1942 bumper did not wrap around the rear fender]
