The shift knob is gone, except for the remnants that are stuck in the grooves on the shift arm on the column. How does one easily remove the molded plastic from the spines and is this a universal shift arm? In othere words, must I replace with an original Caddie shift knob or can I put an 8-ball, etc. on there?
