Hi,

I can't seem to figure out where this vacuum line should attach under the dash.  It comes off of a brass fitting on the intake manifold, behind the carburetor, and then goes through the firewall, in front of the driver.  I have attached three pictures.  Can anyone help?

Thank you,

Jon Riley

I think you will find that it is connected to the Steering Column at the Neutral Start Safety Switch, and then from the Switch, to the Park Brake Release Diaphragm.

Thanks Bruce.

I was looking for a location under the dash.

So, was it for the Park Brake Release?

The neutral safety switch IS under the dash, on the steering column just before it goes through the floor.

My would be the line is split.  One goes to the neutral safety switch and the other goes to the heater controls to supply vacuum there.

Bruce, it was indeed for the parking brake release (under the dash, on the steering column;  but not "in" the dash).

I have been off-line for a while, thus my delayed response.

Thanks again.
