1959 Series 62 Sedan Restoration Project--Vegas Turquoise
« on: June 16, 2012, 08:11:05 PM »
An acquaintance of mine has a 1959 Series 62 Sedan for sale.  Original color combination is Vegas Turquoise with a blue and black interior.   Motor frozen.  Rolls well.  Very complete, but rusty, in all the common spots.   Has title.  Well worth the restoration effort! 1200 OBO, he wants to sell the car.   I would buy it myself (I love these cars and this color combo) however, I am fresh out of room.  Seller will help load but of course can't ship it.  Contact him at 906-201-2824 or dagates2010@yahoo.com.  His name his Dan.  He also has a ton of 1957, 1958 & 1959 parts-- body parts, (hoods, fenders, doors, etc), motor parts (including 2 engines and transmissions), power steering parts, door parts, suspension parts, trim, interior trim, dash parts, etc, just about everything.  Wants to sell as a lot.  I need some of what he has but I don't have the room for all the parts.  So if someone wants to buy some but not all the parts, I can buy the rest-- we can work something out.

Thanks

Garrett Baker

I purchased the car and '59 specific parts late last summer. I cleaned the car up and sorted through all the parts. There was no extra PS hose.
It looks like I won't need much of anything from the car, but sure am glad I've got an inventory of other parts that are helping me restore the '59 coupe and flat top four door I bought last year. Once I'm done with everything, I'll figure out what to do with the car. It's sitting in a climate controlled shop right now, so at least it's not rusting away any more. I don't know if it's worth saving. One day I may post pictures here and ask about it.

Hi Denny,
No air ride parts with what I got. Besides the six window car, I basically received 1/3 of a series 62 flat top, (no frame or body, but doors, trim, drivetrain, interior, etc).
Have you tried http://www.arizona-classic.com/ ?  Bo has a TON of '59 parts and they aren't listed on his site. I was going to buy several items from him prior to buying this package of parts.
* I've never done business with Bo and can't endorse him in any way, but he's got a lot of parts and was pleasant to speak with.

Hi Sean,
I bought a few 59 eldorado trim from Bo a few months ago, but he told me that he sold all his 59/60 parts to a few guys in Europe last month.
Thank you for the info any way.
