Re-chroming 1976 Exterior door handles

My exterior door handles on my 76 Talisman have some pits in them. Has anyone had any luck at having these re-chromed ? The front two have the plastic lens for the illuminated entry-can these be removed and re-installed ? ? Thanks ! Barry Norman

Great question   Same issue here with 75 Eldorado with illuminated entry.

I have a '76 Eldorado with illuminated entry; I have removed the door handles and had them chrome plated. The illuminated entry plastic lenses slide out of the door handle after you remove the handle from the door. Very easy operation.
