Hi.  We have a 1963 Sedan de Ville, 6 window 4 door.  It is in overall good shape, but has a few issues, mostly electrical.  The previous owner removed the power seat transmission for some reason.  That being said...the seat does not move forward or backward.  It does, however, tilt.  I guess I don't understand how it can tilt with no seat transmission, first of all.  My other question is how to tell whether it is a four way or 6 way mechanism.  The switch on the arm rest moves forward, backward, and side-to-side;  I'm guessing this means 4 way.  Obviously, I am not mechanically inclined, but am trying to learn.  Any help would be greatly appreciated.  Thanks!
