1979 OE floor mats and steeringwheeel - ???

anyone know where i might be able to find NOS floormats, or good quality -
and a steering wheel.

the color is Firemist-  the dark maroon/brown/ etc

That is always the $64,000.00 question.  No one makes exact copies of the originals...not sure why...
As far as who sells OEM or NOS...Ebay is your best bet.  I have looked for an extra set for my '76 in dark blue-green for YEARS and have never come upon a set.  Once in a blue moon, an Ebay seller has a set but usually wants HUNDREDS of dollars for them

Good Luck with your search.  Nothing quite seals the deal than the original floor mats!

Hi, If you have the d'Elegance Persian Cat carpet, you can probably forget it. Regular carpet, you might try SMS in Oregon. As far as the steering wheel goes, I'd look for a leather covered one in a color close to yours and then paint it. Or simply luck out with a reddish one with a good insert. I love the feel of my '79 with the plastic, but the insert is "thinking" about starting to lift and then you simply can't keep your fingers away from it.

We had a '79 SDV with the Cedar Firemist fluffy carpet once and it must have been beautiful when new. We have the Cedar carpet in the Fleetwood now with regular carpet and I obtained a set of dark brown carpet mats on eBay and except for judging, they look fine.

My '82 Brougham d'elegance had the Tampico carpet and it was beautiful.   It was a polyester copy of mouton.   You'll never find it unless you go with real mouton.

Lincoln also used that type carpeting.
