need part help, 48 cadillac

im needing a throwout bearing retainer for a 48 cadillac. its a three on the tree. We replaced the clutch and when we dropped the clutch off to get rebuilt the detail guys threw the retainer away. ..... Its just a metal tube the throwout bearing rides on and the transmission shaft goes through it. Any help please. thanks

They threw the retainer away???  What sort of a shop are you using?  Its surly their responsibility to replace it?

no no, im the shop. the car belongs to a dealer. after i dropped the clutch off and my resurfacer i left the retainer in the truck. the dealers detail guys threw the retainer away because i forgot and left it in the back floor board. i left it in there not thinking they would sell the truck so fast.

The causality rate on that piece is pretty high. Occasionally they will be on ebay. Good Luck.   Harry
