The springs on my trunk lid supports for my 1941 6267D have broken and I'm looking for replacements. Some searching here and on other sites have yielded that replacements were universal enough to have been at one time stocked by a couple of Chevrolet parts houses.

I read in one post here from 2008 that they are the same for mid 1937 through 1941 (http://forums.cadillaclasalleclub.org/index.php?topic=101598.msg113670#msg113670)

As an example of the part. the reproduction referenced above through Chevs of the 40s is: https://www.chevsofthe40s.com/detail/9658/Chevrolet_Hold_Up_Release_Spring_Flat_316_At_Widest_Point.html.

However they're out of stock, and while the suppliers have waiting lists there is no idea when they'll possibly find new sources.

Does anyone have some to sell?

I'll also cross-post in the Technical section regarding workarounds others may have employed in the past.

Thanks very much,
Scott Anderson
