How to set your screen name, title, and signature
« on: April 30, 2007, 08:03:54 PM »
If you have chosen to register, you'll want to set your screen name and, optionally, your title and signature.  At a minimum, you need to include your real name in one of those three fields.  Including your membership number would also be helpful per the rules of our forum.

If you aren't sure how to change those fields, I have created some illustrated instructions on exactly how to do it.  It's easy and only takes a minute.

Visit this page: http://www.cadillaclasalleclub.org/profilehelp.shtml

If you choose not to put your real name in any of those places, you need to make sure your real name is included in every post you make.  Remember that we require names instead of just handles in all posts.  If you want to use a handle, that is fine, just include your real name along with your handle in either your title or signature.

Failure to include your real name somewhere in your posts will result in your posts being deleted.

Jeff,

I posted a message this evening regarding 1960 Cadillac interior colors, but the last half failed to post. What did I do wrong? Additionally, the "Preview" option does not function..but possibly this may be my server blocking the prompt [?] or...

Tom,

Preview does work; the preview is at the top of the screen so you may have to roll the screen down to see it.

I went and looked at your post and the balance of the post is there, it's just that the font is in a different color - white.   Click the modify link in your post (off to the right side of the screen).  Highlight the white text and select the color you want it to be (usually black) in the "change color" drop down  which will be just above the box where you type in your text.  Then save your changes.

HTH,
Jeff
