I am interested to learn about how the bodies were welded together , painted and trimmed. As well as if they assigned Series 62 / Calais bodies to one floor of the plant DeVille to another and Fleetwood to another Etc. I know the Series 75 Bodies were built at Plant 21 however I am interested how they accomplished prepping a couple thousand Bodies each day.

Hi,
very interesting topic. I am sorry that this is not the Fleetwood plant, and not Cadillac related. But in my opinion there is a good view to the logistics.

Thank You Richard , that is interesting. I just hope at least a few of those that worked at Fleetwood Plant 18 are still alive and someone will respond.

I don't think Fleetwood were actually building bodies were they during the time frame your after Bill?  Weren't they just a model name on a standard body and dealing with interiors by then?
