Some of you may remember my car from the 2019 Louisville Grand National. I finally completed the tailgate. I still need to install a horizontal rib on the quarter panels and the tailgate. That will be done when I make the doors so they all line up.
G'day Tom,
Beautiful, truly beautiful.
Bruce. >:D
WOW !!
Nice !!

Tom, Really looks great. I remember seeing it at Louisville. Hopefully we can see it soon at another GN. Harry
Yes, super nice!
Love your craftsmanship. Keep up the great work.
What kind of wood are you using, and glue and finishing. I'm a wooden boat owner, and always interested in wood craftsmanship. (I owned a 59 woody Morris Minor, and it developed wood in the rear doors--ugh) Happy day, James
Framing is ash. Panels are marine plywood with honduran mahogany veneer and birch veneer. Glue is Elmers wood glue max. Pettit captains varnish 1015 on the ash and Pettit flagship varnish 2015 on the mahogany. 8 coats brushed. I wet sanded and buffed out the panels.
Your hard work and attention to detail shows off your craftsmanship so very well. Congratulations. James
Thank you for all the complements. Craftsmanship is what I strive for.
