Hey guys,
Somehwere in the next week I would like to tackle replacing a rear wheel seal (that keeps the differential oil from reachting the brake drum). The shop manual states to use a sealent around the outer edge of the seal to prevent leaks. My question is: is that necessary with the modern seals, and if yes, what type of sealent is best used? Regular blue or black rtv?
Thanks in advance.
