I had my car inspected the other day, and was told that the rear body mounts were pretty rusty and in need of repair. It looks like I'll  have to do some cleanup and some welding. The rubber cushions are pretty well perished so I'd like to replace them as well. The ones pictured are just aft of the rear wheels. I'll probably be looking at all of the insulators with an eye on changing the whole set. I'm not sure where to source them, so if anyone can point me in the right direction, I'd sure appreciate it. I'm posting some pictures for reference.  Thanks guys!

IMHO I would be VERY careful. Looks like a lot of advanced frame deterioration. How much rattle noise are you experiencing now?

I have done this job multiple times on 65-66 Cadillacs.  Looks like 69-70 are similar.  On 65-66, they are the "L" brackets that go from the 1/4 to the trunk pan.  Common to deteriorate.  Not part of the main frame of the car, and much thinner steel than from the factory.  On 65-66, there are 4 and they are reproduced.  Got the bushings from eBay from like a Buick or similar, but maybe someone here can confirm for 69-70.

Not bad to do if you have a lift and can weld.  Of course, I did with the gas tank removed.

I hadn't noticed any rattle at all, the problem was discovered during a routine state inspection.

Yes the 65-66 and 69-70 are similar.  Looks like easy work.  I have an article on how to replace these and source them if interested.  My e-mail is rscotm@cox.net, send an e-mail if interested.
