Thanks for your comments Scott. Thorough analysis. Not to say I am out of the woods but the 25 mile ride back from the auto guy (who I was referenced on by many worthwhile sources) in stop-and-go traffic at 105 deg ground temps (with the AC running) did it for me. That same ride home would have been pure disaster prior to the new radiator. They clearly ID'd lower corrosion in the original radiator as the culprit.

I will add that they set engines specs/timing and replaced the choke pulloff.
