Does anyone know if the 60 Eldorado Brougham takes the same carpet size/shape as any other 60 4 door? And what floor mats came with it originally? The black rubber mats?

The carpet on my Brougham looks original and is sun faded in a couple spots and doesn't look like it can be re-dyed.

The build sheet decodes the interior to:

Upholestry 121 (Black Leather Gray Plain Broadcloth Black Carpet)

I'm also not sure if the Broadcloth is the standard loop/pile for 60.

Any help is appreciated.

I would have thought that the rear section would be of a different shape to fully cover the B Pillar, which is totally different to that of a 4 door sedan that uses the B Pillar as the hinge mounting.

Bruce, the 1959-60 Brougham models don't have the rear door like the 1957-58 Brougham. They are hinged at the front like other standard cars.
Unfortunately, I cannot answer que question about the carpet. Maybe David King could do as he had such a late Brougham.

Thanks Roger,

I was forgetting that the Pininfarina ones were just tarted-up and customised basic Sedans.

You can dye your original black carpet. Just 'dust' it with SEM dye (flexible fabric vinyl 'color coat'  ) available in spray cans

No not tarted up, certainly not. The '59/'60 Broughams were a very complex custom built car with some incredibly clever alterations from a part-standard body.

I've studied one being taken apart for restoration and have photographs of some of the bare steel work showing these changes. But truly clever custom work.

It also appeared that many panels were small, but-joined and lead-loaded (solder), we think Pininfarina maybe didn't have pressing machines the scale of GM's? Sadly there is virtually nothing in either company's archives. I never saw the project completed as my dear friend died before it was done.
