As a long time fan of the 1959 Cadillac I have been considering creating a website for this particular year but had been delaying it do to lack of time mainly. Finally just got to set up the first configurations and also was able to bring the initial first page and a forum live.

The site will be focusing on the '59s but it will not be exclusive to this year and other Cadillac and LaSalle owners - especially the 1960 cars that are from the same generation - also encouraged to join in and contribute or discuss topics there. At this point the website itself only has an initial page but the forum is up and with an early setup ready for registration. Coincidentally the style is similar to this forum as my long time webhosting company offered this same forum application for free, therefore it should be familiar for the members here. If you would like to start joining in there you may do so already and please, if you have suggestions, comment let me know as it is still beling setup and modified to best meet the needs.

The new site will be at www.1959Cadillac.net  and the forum is here: www.1959Cadillac.net/Forum/

Thank you!

Thank you Dave and Art, I am glad you already joined. I hope it will build up to a useful comprehensive site about the '59s where people can come and learn, ask questions, discuss issues or research facts about them. That is the long term goal of the site.

Instead of fragmenting yourself from the CLC why not simply create your site, but have me create a 1959 Cadillac  sub forum in the CLC forums?  You could also create a 1959 Cadillac non-geographic region to do the same.

Thoughts?

Hello Tibor

Please accept the advice by Peter.  Inclusion is the right path to success
All good men own a Cadillac but great gentlemen drive a LaSalle. That is the consequence of success.

I believe there is already a site for the '59s ... but it may be reserved for only the "Eldorado" models. Anyway, let's try to avoid duplicating Cadillac web sites.

Peter Gariepy's approach needs to be considered in the planning stages for this planned "new" site.

Hello Peter, sorry I wasn't here for a while, '49er' just notified me of your post. I also agree with you and the others that it would be a good idea to run the new site as one of the Region/Chapter/Affiliate sites, it is nice to have it as part of the CLC family. I'll PM you on the details.

Thank you!
