Title: 59 6 window sedan rear window removal question
Post by: Michael Butzke on September 30, 2010, 08:46:19 PM
Can't figure out how to remove the exterior upper rear window chrome molding. The service manual is not very clear on that subject and I don't want to mess something up. And advice would be much appreciated. Thank you.

Yes indeed....a mystery.....until you look from inside......AFTER you remove the interior upper rear window molding and untack the rear portion of the headliner. :'(  Only then will you find the fastner nuts that you need to remove in order to get the molding off........Jeff    :o

Already looked for those but this one has the clips instead of the threaded studs and nuts. I can find a diagram of the window opening with the clips and a reference to the clips in another section but no real clear instructions of how to remove the actual molding or an illustration of the molding so I can figure out how it relates to the clips.
