Title: Miniature Dealership Showroom
Post by: soonerinmo on May 15, 2012, 01:02:19 AM
I don't know if anyone has seen this before, but I thought it was amusing. This guy built a miniature Cadillac showroom floor, circa 1950s. I find vintage showroom photos interesting, and building a diorama like this would be a blast.  ;D

Thank you for a wonderful visual into 1956.  It makes you want to shink down to scale to take a walk through the building and sit in the "new" cars.

Thank you, Richard

That's really neat!!  Lots of detail and I can't imagine where he
got all the props (or made them).

Especially the one view with the paper on the showroom window.
I remember those days when the new model debut was a really hyped
up "secret" and the paper came down only on a certain  day at all dealers!

It almost looks like a replica of the showroom scene in Driving Miss Daisy. Although that was set in 1955 the cars were similar colors to those in this model display plus it has the black 60 Special in the center- just as in the movie.

Very nice.

Thanks for sharing that link with us, Brian.  I  loved the parts on the counter.  Very neat walk down memory lane.
