Title: 1954 Cadillac Meteor Hearse
Post by: fyihefa on November 19, 2013, 05:22:25 PM
I am restoring a 1954 meteor motor car hearse their # 54-201. 54 Cadillac front end, rear fenders, rear bumper and complete running gear all else seems to by assembled by meteor or some other contractor. Is there any way to determine from meteor motor car records how many and all the details on this car?
Thanks
G. tisdale

Try asking at the Professional Car Society.

They specialize in Funeral cars and Ambulances.

If anyone has that information, they will.

There were 1,756 Cadillac professional car chassis produced in 1954. These were shared amongst several coach builders such as Superior, Meteor, S&S and Eureka to name a few.
I had the privaledge of owning a 1954 3way Superior and a 1954 Formal limo.
I would love to see pictures of your car.

When M&M closed the doors, an employee literally threw all the documents into the dumpster.
