What a very nice story. You bought this car at an auction in the USA and shipped it to your home? Where do you live? I hope this car gives you many years of good service.

Please do post some pictures of your Caddie in its new home. We would love to see it next to the local scenery.

Welcome!
Unfortunately, the front bumper was damaged during transportation. It must be quite an adventure to import such a car from Russia...

G'day Andrey,

Welcome to the world of Cadillac ownership.

From the bumper damage, you are lucky there wasn't more damage incurred.   The way Containers are handled, the vehicles and contents inside them have to be secured really well.   But, no matter how well they are secured, if anything is to go wrong, it will during the loading and unloading, that is on and off the ship, or the railroad.

Make sure you get a Workshop Manual for the car, as it will be invaluable come repair time, and general vehicle enlightenment.

Hello Andrey

In our club we closely affiliate with members that have the same/similar model. This makes maintenance, repairs, and restoration easier. I highly recommend that you contact the leader, Jason Edge. He is kind, thoughtful, and generous with his knowledge.

Thanks for the pictures of that Caddie in Russia. What a change from SoCal! Do send more pics when you get it cleaned up and have it in some attractive place.

ps.. On the front bumper it looks like you only damaged the upper center which is actually one of the easier of the 6 pieces to find. I also sell parts on the side and have a stack of solid upper centers.  Just shoot me an email to jasonedge@nc.rr.com once you get settled in and want to replace this or other items. You can also find many parts vendors and companies on our 63/64 Cadillac Website at www.parts.6364cadillac.com  (http://www.parts.6364cadillac.com)
