Title: 1937 lasalle buying
Post by: zuodar on June 07, 2014, 07:15:34 PM
In buying a 1937 lasalle 50, what are some of the pitfalls or things I should look for in purchasing this vehicle. I think the door frames are steel clad wood How do I know if the wood has dry rot. Car has 35k mils on it.

The 37 LaSalle shouldn't have wood in it, nor the 60 series Cadillac. The larger series had wood for a while longer.

Hidden rust or old accident damage is alway a concern. You probably want to be satisfied the wiring is sound. You don't say what your intent is, a car to drive or restore.
