Title: 1964 Eldorado
Post by: Billharrison on October 28, 2014, 02:59:48 PM
New to the hobby and am considering the purchase of a 64 Eldo. This car has bucket seats that appear to be original. Does anyone know if this was an option noted on the car's cowl tag?

Thanks, Bill

Yes, front bucket seats was an option on all DeVille body styles and Fleetwood Eldorado.

It would be indicated by a "B" suffix in the interior trim code on body plate.

Even if the data tag doesn't show bucket seats, you cant go wrong with a 64 eldo, with bucket seats.

I have been compiling a roster of 1964 Eldorado survivors for the past 25 years, and have 273 cars listed with VIN and the codes from the dataplates (cowl tag).  If you would like, I can check my list to see if the car you are interested in is on it.
