It's been a big year. Yes, Merry Christmas everyone. I'd give anything to have a Biarritz like yours. Hang on there's one in my shed just sitting there. Better get on it right away. I need Santa's little helpers.

Judging by the progress on your other projects we'll probably see your mint 57 Biarritz on an Easter card in a few months.  ;)

This pic just put a wide smile on my face. Had forgotten all about it till Yann Saunders sent it to me just now. 10 years ago when Yann and Gita visited and Yann and I snuck away whilst the wives went shopping at the Gold Coast. We met these nice young ladies who were in need of a lift.
If someone can photoshop a beard on Yann and perhaps some pointy ears on the ladies then it might be a bit Christmassy.

That's a great drawing, brings back childhood memories! I remember drawing 57 Eldorados on a notebook while at Hershey back in 93 & 94, would have been about 8. It's important to influence their minds early  ;)

Since the moderators will probably get at least one complaint about Yann's passengers, I will make one comment that is relevant to my personal celebration of Christmas this year. Back in August/September, Gay got her usual letter from the hospital to schedule her annual mammogram. The paper laid on her side of the table for several days and I finally asked if she'd called for the appointment yet. She said that since she was 77 years old, she was thinking about skipping it this year. I got up, picked up a phone from the kitchen and handed to her. When we got the results, she had a dime sized growth in her right breast. Tests showed that it was malignant. The Dr. was consulted and wanted one last test, and this one showed some suspicious areas on her left breast also. We had to sit out this test to find out that there wasn't really any problem. Surgery went well, but one last MRI showed a shadow on her liver. Ugh! She went through a Biopsy which proved to be nonmalignant. Hooray! Now she is halfway through radiation to cook the edges of where the cancer was removed as it was very close to the limit of where the surgeon could safely cut.

The results for which we are both grateful for, is that she still has two reasonably attractive breasts and at present, is cancer free. So she can still wear a bikini top like the girls in the car. She wears the pink ribbon proudly and is determined to lick this thing. Guys, when your gal turns 40, make sure she has the yearly checkup.
Before that, she needs to make her self tests once a month. If she feels something, get it checked out right away, and don't ignore it. It will NOT go away on it's own.

Yesterday, while waiting to go in for her daily treatment, she overheard some of the couples talking, and realized that how many of them were so much worse off than she was, which made her grateful that she was able to find her problem quickly and get it taken care of.

Yes, we guys love to gaze upon cheerleaders and other young ladies displaying their charms. Just keep an eye on your wives and daughters as well, and make sure that they do all they can to prevent problems in this area of their bodies. Gay was lucky. Some types of breast cancer can kill you very quickly.

So we thank the Great Physician for the best Christmas gift ever this year. Merry Christmas to all. Barry

Glad to hear your wife is recovering Barry! I have a dear aunt who's about to lose her year and a half battle with brain cancer. It is an awful terrible decease, cherish every day with your loved ones. It can't be said enough!
