Title: The need for speed
Post by: "Cadillac Kid" Greg Surfas 15364 on August 06, 2015, 11:19:12 AM
Just thought the videos of my 511 inch motor with a roller cam, etc might be interesting.  Engine idling at just about 600 RPM.
If you are a "purist" please do not watch.

Greg, Will it go over 100?
Sounds great.  Give us a show of it going down the strip.

Larry,Before I put in the roller cam (estimated to pick up about 100 HP over the previous cam) I ran 13.2 seconds at about 107 MPH.  Timing is such Summer and 100 degrees + came along before I could get back out to the strip.  When the weather cools off that is the first thing I will do, and hope to post the results.

I like it.  All the automotive manufacturers gained extensive expertise by racing their cars, so this also educationally beneficial.
