Title: '75 Eldorado seat belt issues

I reinstalled my seat belts today and cant figure out why it wont stop as it should in an accident. Am I missing something?

I don't remember the 75's specifically but seat belts in general have two types of mechanisms.    One type has to do with how fast you pull on the belt.  If you pull slow it will extend but if you pull fast it should lock.    Other type has a pendulum sort of thing in it so when the car stops fast it swings forward and locks the reel.

Great so I have to hit something going fast to make sure it stops...well my awful sister-in-law has some little sports car I could chase down and hit that sounds like a good place to start.
Just kidding, I'll work with mine some to make sure it does stop as it should
