Title: '91 Brougham
Post by: Viator Trudeau on February 20, 2016, 08:38:59 PM
Who has or where can I get a solid state  heater motor controller that mounts on the right side under the hood.
My heater motor runs all the time. The last replacement had this number on it  #150331 on it.  Can any one help me.  I am in the Chesapeake, VA. area. Thanks

I would try either rebuilt if Cadillac Tim (google Cadillac Tim, Iva SC) sells them, or good used.  Good used would be Cadillacs Only, Honest John in TX, Cadillac King, USA Parts and others.  A similar part went bad on a 1982 RWD Caddy and had to get replacement used.

I just put one in my 91 Brougham 3 days ago. I had the same situation when I bought the car, and the previous owner had no idea why the battery had been running down. The good news is that Rockauto on line parts catalogue has them and they only $127.00 brand new. They ship very quickly and I received mine in like 4 days. In the meantime I just unplugged the blower motor under the hood. A very simple fix.  Good luck, David Symonds
Title: Re: '91 Brougham A C motor modules

Thanks for the replies, I've replaced two modules from local scrap yards in the last five years at apx.
$40.00 each. Local supplies seem to be running out. Used ones are a crap shoot, no way of telling the remaining life. I drive the car apx.1,000 miles/year. Yards give a 30 day warrant. I am checking out the suggestions.   Thanks,

I recently found my log book on A C motor module replacement.  Two module suppliers said the motor was bad as the most recent replacement lasted four months.  Got a new motor, will see what happens.
