Welcome to the forum David.  You have joined the best Cadillac forum on the net. If you ever have questions about your car, feel free to ask, and someone here will know the answer.
A picture of your car would be nice to see here too. Everyone loves to see a good classic Cadillac and hear about the car.
Enjoy your new ride, and have a great day.

  Rick

NICE!! Other than needing a bath, and a little air in the tires, it looks like you can drive it away without a problem.
Of course before you do, check it out thoroughly. You don't want to have a problem caused by its sitting for a while.
I've always liked the 70-76 Eldorado body style. I almost bought a 73 when I was in Germany in the late 70's, but on my meager pay I couldn't afford the car AND the gas!
There's a lot of Eldorado people here who can help you with any kind of issue you may have with it. You have but to ask.
Happy motoring!

If you are planning on driving it that far, I would seriously consider making your first stop at a tire store...

He's having it transported.  There's another thread on that you might not have seen.

New tires all fluids, Compression and leak down test then some light modifications and enjoy.
Also bringing down a 64 T-Bird at the same time.

A beautiful car that apparently was then, and is now, very well loved.  As you get the car road worthy with special attention to brakes, brake lines and associated  steering components, please get your cooling system flushed with special attention to the radiator.  Coolant can turn acidic over time and literally "eat through" engine components, and radiators often build up crud that blocks cooling efficiency and creates serious problems during hot weather operation.  Please keep us informed (with pictures as well), so we can follow you on your owner's journey.  We enjoy narratives from recent owners, and there's a wealth of knowledge on this site from experienced members who can provide valuable guidance regarding your ownership of this lovely car.  Happy day, and congratulations, James

Thanks James Landi, You pretty much covered my punch list except for the pull seats out clean and inspect for mouse nests and inspect the wiring as well.
Been wrenching on cars since I was 14y/o now at 53 I do all my own work.
I brought his truck down 2 years ago, we call it the Hulk. He bought it new in 1975 and it stayed outside its entire life and never left Valier or the dirt road.
I pulled the 360 built a 30 over 390 with Edelbrock top end, roller rockers, FiTech EFI, Torqstorm supercharger, Aluminum radiator and electric fan 2600 stall converter, built C6, 4"lift, 22x12 wheels with 35x12.5 ATRs. Just finished welding the exhaust(first time welding). gutted interior dyno matted entire cab, laid 40oz jute padding, carpet had seats recovered, made custom upholstered back wall cover and installed digital dash and retro stereo system.
You could say I am a gearhead..lol

Love it David--- you know your stuff, and that's truly great news.  Sometimes a "newbie" gets over his head, and damages a slumbering Cadillac without knowingly doing so, thus my cautionary note about cooling. It's doubly great news that this lovely car will continue its life in your capable hands.  Keep us posted as you journey about.  Happy day, and congratulations (again),   James

Any advice is always good..WE tend to over look things. Me I always create a punch list on cardboard and put it in the drivers seat. As I complete items I line them out and add items as I discover them. Circle the key items needed for road worthiness.
