Title: Question about ballot
Post by: Jerry on March 26, 2006, 11:51:51 AM
Peter,

I notice that several international members indicated that they received their Self Starters without ballots.  But my question is was the plastic wrap intact that the ballot was never included or was the plastic torn that the ballot was removed?

Just curious.  I would like to see a fair voting process that ALL members have an opportunity to participate no matter where they live.

Gday Jerry,

Well, we, at least I, received my copy of the SS in exactly the same sort of clear plastic wrapping that I have always received it.

I wouldnt call it "Shrink-wrapped" but it was reasonable close fitting, and has the addressing label on a loose sheet inside the wrapping.

To me, "Shrink-wrap" is the process where the plastic is heated up after the itim is placed inside, and the material simply forms a tight fit.

Plus, there didnt seem to be anything previously attached to the outside as I thoroughly checked mine before I opened it to see if there was any indication of anything being removed, stolen, or simply coming adrift.

Youre O.K., Bruce. Thats how mine arrived. the use of "shrink wrap" was just a sort of common misuse of the term.
