Front Bumper Shock Absorbers

    Hi, I have a 91 Fleetwood Brougham. I tapped a car and it compressed my front bumper shocks. Is there any way for me to release them?

Hmm, that was more than a tap! 

Many times, just loosening the absorber mount at the bumper will allow them to pop back out.  It should be 4 bolts per side.  You may have to do both sides, even if one is compressed.  Keep an eye on how much the bumper moves, as you may have to realign things after they pop back out.

Loosening the mounting bolts will not make it pop back out.

Have someone pull on the bumper while tapping soundly on the sides of the shock.

That's how you pop them back out.  Been there and done it.
