This guy actually thinks he improved the car.  It may have been a really nice car before he "Customized" it.

I have no problems with customs but you would think someone would have told him that this type of 2-tone is just plain wrong.

Cheaper to paint it, than to plate it.

I think he probably started out with the idea of painting a simple racing stripe down the middle.

After he finished the stripe, he looked carefully at what he'd done and said to himself "That doesn't look perfectly symmetrical. I better add a little more paint to the other side." Of course, he then added too much paint to the "other side."

By the time he'd finished oscillating back and forth to "even it out," the width of the original stripe had now stretched clear across the car!

Poof! He had to sell it! :-)

I think I'll only scrape SOME of the undercoating out of the front wheelwells  ::)..............

Reverse skunk.  Interior still looks good.  Paint the black white or the white black , rechrome front and rear --- the grille --- who knows.  Find a good one or disassemble and strip that one.  Go back to factory wheels.

Brian,
I'm surprised you didn't recognize the rare SO - Reversed Pepe Le Pew version.
This seller and Pepe have something in common - "Pepé is constantly in search of love and appreciation.".

All in fun SHATTERTAG - no disrespect intended.

Have fun,
Steve B.

PS - 35-709, didn't see your post before I wrote mine, I was just slow on the draw, but great minds - as they say.

The wheels remind me of donuts too.

Awful, and you know the next buyer (when he comes to earth on price) will make large changes.

I think that car has been pretty wet. Notice the rust on door jambs, the lower steering column cover, underside if the dash and mold on the seats. Sure would hate to smell it after it has been sitting in the sun all day with the windows up

I love the car.... a prime candidate for the 'super modified' division of the CLC at the 2060 GN.

58 years old and still rolling, I'm all in.
The 'formal' Coupe Deville, black and white.
I think the powder coated chrome works with the car.
Driving it in the rain could be interesting as I didn't see windshield wipers.
Lower it more, add some nicer Foos wheels, power sun roof, digital dash and a crate hemi.
I'd go further under the hood with the 'formal' image and all wiring would be black and white,
everything black and white under the hood.

Very cool.

Its a CADILLAC, and its still rolling.
Better this than rusting in a field....

Somebody cared enough about this car to spend some serious coin to keep it
out of that field, good for them. Does it have a market at that price? The seller
will find out.

Are you guys all on drugs.....  :o

That is craftsmanship every which way you look at it.
The gaps from each portion, each crafted piece of metal, formed to create something that will last forever.

Sure, some slightly rusty spots are there, that's a given....
Yes, it will get more over time, but some TLC will fix that.
Look at the age of the thing for Christ's sake.

I think, the contrasting colours, make a bold statement. Its says: I'm here, notice me, look after me.
Look at the green foliage backdrop, the blue of the sky, how does that not look good as a whole package.

Sure, some struggle with somebody else's plan, the design, the execution, but it stands out in a modern society.

I'd change nothing, its a timeless piece just the way it is.

OK, I would change one thing..... i'd move the ugly Cadillac out of the road, as it spoils the bridge a bit.

I LOVE OLD BRIDGES.  :)

Super modified division?  Interesting

Goes with the futuristic 'cruiser' division.
You'll need a place for tho$e bagged, lowered, chopped, hot rodded Caddy'$, they're member$ too.
Or I'm a$$uming you'd want them to be...
