In 2006, I bought a Jasper remanufactured HT4100 for an '83 Fleetwood. The cost was $2,500 after the core charge was deducted and engine was excellent. The cost of shipping will probably exceed the core charge so you'll probably have to eat that.

4.5 liter and 4.9 liter are transverse mounted, therefore cannot be used in an '82 Eldorado which is longitudinally mounted. Electronics are completely different as well.
