Plans for this show are moving ahead with a tentative date of Aug 21 & 22. The AACA Museum grounds being 19 acres  will hold a large number of cars. Organized meals and activities are not complete at this time and can hopefully be done when there is a better idea of response. The event will be promoted in the upcoming Valley Forge and Potomac Region newsletters and also hopefully in the Self Starter. Stay tuned.       Harry

Aug 21/22 is what I was told. Was it changed?

Mods - can this be posted more conspicuously so it gets maximum exposure? Perhaps either in the sticky section or banner of the page rather than the regular discussion where it will move to the bottom over time.

In view of the cancellation of the Grand National this item should receive extra prominence for a show-starved CLC membership.

Are there any links or additional information regarding this event?  From this post, I see there is a multi-region event Aug 21-21 at the AACA museum in Hershey but do not see anything else. Is this a CLC multi-region event, or an AACA event, or just some local guys getting together at the AACA museum? I did some  very quick Google searches and came up empty!  Coming from someone that is not an AACA member, has never been to Hershey, but might be interested in the event I would like to see some details - time, place, event, schedule ... if any of this is available.  Without that information I am not sure what pinning this to top of the forum accomplishes.

Jason...the Central PA Region Annual show is normally held at this location and approximate point in the season. The planned event has no connection with the AACA other than the fact that it is being held on the grounds of the AACA Museum. During past Central PA Region annual shows, an admittance ticket to the AACA Museum was normally included with the show registration fee which I imagine would also be the case here. In any case, AACA Membership is not required.

This event is unique in that not only does it draw from up to ten regions, but fairly high membership regions at that. Secondly, unlike regional shows, this is planned to be a two day event (final announcement pending) which should be more amenable for long distance travelers. A number of members have already made plans to arrive on Saturday the 21st regardless of whether plans of a two day event have been formalized.

Under the circumstances of GN cancellations as well those of any number of others related to antique car hobby generally, there is a great likelihood of this event being well received with robust participation. A "mini- GN" of sorts if you will.

Personally I cannot think of a more appropriate use of the CLC forum webpage to publicize the event to maximize exposure for the benefit of CLC members. It should also be pointed out that participation is open to all CLC members and is not just limited to members of regions directly involved.

Good additional info. I will look for more details as they are posted in the newsletters and here. From someone that has zero knowledge of events held by the Central PA Region, the details help dummies like me understand what this is about, who is hosting it, who it is open to, etc. PA is not too far from NC and like many others, I would love to attend something!

I am also looking forward to the Fall Festival Sept 24-25 at The Gilmore. I've never been and this would be a good year to fill in the "need a Cadillac Car Show" gap, and check out the Fall Festival and all The Gilmore has to offer.

This could be an interesting 3rd quarter with this show in August and then The Gilmore in September then the AACA Fall Nationals in October.

Jason...Very glad you asked. The only dumb thing would be not to inquire if there were questions!  ;D Looking forward to seeing you there.

FYI and for anyone interested, the Marriott Springhill Suites Hotel is literally right next door to the AACA Museum at 115 Museum Dr, Hershey, PA 17033 PH: (717) 583-2222 Anyone interested in staying overnight and meeting up the day before the show should consider making reservations ASAP.

Another factor in the attendance for 2020 was the rescheduled Fall Hershey Show in Gettysburg, PA which was the same weekend. I think there were approximately 400 cars at that event which is only about 30 or 40 miles away.     Harry

Sounds like a fun event; we love the Hershey area and AACA Museum but unfortunately it conflicts with Woodward.   :'(
Enjoy life - it has an expiration date.

Just what I was thinking.  Plus, I want to do the AACA Fall Nationals (why I bought the Fleetwood) so the 63 Grand Prix to Woodward as that's a more 'Woodward' type car and the Cadillac to AACA.

However, to get a Cadillac meet in there,  Sept 17 & 18 to the Pure Stock Muscle Car Drags and then the next weekend, Gillmore.  I've been putting so many miles on the Cadillac that I have to par things back a bit or buy more cars

If you are in the area, Motor City Region should be hosting their Wednesday on Woodward again.    (8/18/2021)

Stop by and say hi - there will be many Cadillacs, some LaSalles and maybe a 66 Bonne vert.    8)

We should be in the Shrine Tower Parking lot on the NE corner of 12 Mile Road from 3 pm to 9 pm.

I go up on Tuesday or Wednesday AM so I should be there.  I likely will be taking this thou.  I stay at the Somerset Inn so I'm not too far away.

I'm putting way too many miles on the Cadillac so I have to be a little more careful how many events that I take it to.
