As a kid growing up in upstate New York in the 50's the New York Giants were my favorite baseball team .  Like many of the "Bums" fans, I never forgave "my team" for moving to California.

Oh, so there was a game of Gridiron.

Saw a 20 second bit on last night's TV News, but they focused more on the Advertising, and the Half Time Entertaiment than the game.

They did show someone running with a ball.

I seem to recollect that the title of "bums" was given to the Brooklyn Dodgers, not the NY Giants.

Yyyesss, that is correct --- and as I said, "like many of the 'Bums' fans (meaning many Dodger fans), I never forgave 'my team' (meaning the Giants) for moving to California", which, like the Dodgers, the Giants did also.

OK?

OK?

I naturally assumed that you being a New York fan, knew the difference, but by dangling your participle, some of our International friends, and younger members might have mistook the Giants for being the bums

AH!  Maybe that's why I didn't get an "A" in English.  If you don't criticize my sentence structure, I won't criticize your spelling, how's that.
