How much of a PITA is a heater core replacement in a '71?

In 73 they come out from the inside.  The wost part is taking the dash apart to get at it.  At least in these cars there is room in the front seat to work on stuff.
73 Eldo convert w/FiTech EFI, over 30 years of ownership and counting
Somewhat recently deceased daily drivers, 80 Eldo Diesel & 90 CDV
And other assorted stuff I keep buying for some reason

I did it not too long ago on a 72 Eldo Coupe, and it wasn't too hard. If I recall correctly, you have to remove the glove box, and there are 4 nuts on the engine side that have to be removed.  Then you can shinny the heater box out from the inside. Follow the procedure in the shop manual.  I think it took me 3-4 hours start to finish.  I did clean up the heater box, and glued new foam in that lines the doors.  The foam they sell at hardware stores for window air conditioner filters works pretty good. I glued it on with the 3M upholstery spray adhesive.
