Hi, Members,

I am trying to determine correctness of interior cloth on a 1959 Fleetwood with the Fawn Beige interior.  I have not seen one of these cars with the nylon broadcloth bolsters and nylon inserts.  If anyone owns a Fleetwood with this all fabric type interior, I would very much appreciate a photograph.  I have the data book, but it only describes the interior and show it in black and white so I cannot see any details.

Thanks for any help!

Hi Rex,

There were two standard beige cloth interiors. Code 65 is Fawn Concord Cloth with Fawn Clarion Cloth. Code 74 is all Fawn Concord Cloth. Concord is smooth cloth similar to broadcloth but with a shorter nap so that the treads are visible on close inspection.  Clarion Cloth is a shiny, silky fabric with periodic, very narrow, raised ribs in groups of one to five stripes. I believe the fabric was used with the stripes horizontally. When I get a moment I’ll scan it and send it to you.

HTH,
Ralph
