What's the best way to repair the rust on 1967-1970 Eldorado "A" pillar and where the vinyl meets the rear sail?

See attached 68 ebay link pictures.

Thanks,

Matt

If you are thinking about buying this car, don't.  It is too far gone to restore; at least without spending a ton of money.  This car is already overpriced unless you want the parts, and I don't know how many good parts are left.  The interior is completely shot.

It's much better to spend some more up front and not spend it later.

Or maybe you or just asking about rust repair on yours and using this one for an example.  If this is the case a picture of your car may be better to look at.

As for the rust repair you would have to strip it completely, inside and out.  Cut out the bad and custom make new panels to weld back in.  You would be a very good bodyman by the time you were done.

As for value here's a very nice one that just sold on ebay.  I would rather spend the money for one like this up front.

 :)

Cheap repaint ,clear is full of metalic flake ,
lots of bondo
runs in clear across bonnet leading edge ,
rust along bonnet leading edge,
rust along trunk trailing edge,
bad rust f/windscreen pillars,
rust right around f/screen,
rust right around r/screen,
rusted instrument panel ,

I could keep going , but I won't .
One thing that is good , is the fact that Cars 4 Causes® seems to hide nothing by showing good pictures .

I wish all sellers were like this seller with the clear and concise pictures.

And, I agree that this vehicle is a "parts car" as what is visible outside, is going to be EXTREMELY bad on the underside.

Rust that starts from the inside is always going to be worse than the rusting from the outside.

I have a 67 parts car here that has some rust but no where as bad.  Might be able to come up with some patch panels that will help you with your job.
