Can someone tell me if the engine block on 1959 390 motor is the same as 1957 365 motor.  And are the heads the same on both motors.

 I checked Cadillac parts books (1960 and 1970) They both list different part numbers for blocks and heads. Hollander has the same information. The block is 1959 only , the heads 58-63 (note this would be the 63 head fitting back ,not the 59 fitting up in years. The new engine in 63 used a different valve cover)Warren
