Your car is a 1964 Sixty Special  (series 60) as designated by the model number 6039. You have probably seen photos of Series 75 or  6 window sedan (series 62 & 63).

The Series 75 has a distinctly different roofline.    see pictures of 60 and 75  http://www.100megsfree4.com/cadillac/cad1960/cad64f.htm

The Series 62 and 63 6 window sedan will also look different from your car.      (series 63)   http://www.100megsfree4.com/cadillac/cad1960/cad64d.htm

(Series 62)      http://www.100megsfree4.com/cadillac/cad1960/cad64s.htm

I hope the pictures help you understand what the differences are.

$7900 was a lot of money for that car in 1964 considering the list price was $6388. He probably loaded it up with options. That will make it a little more desirable today. Go to these two sites to get a rough idea of it's current value.

VMR        http://www.collectorcarmarket.com/menus/makes.htm

What sort of condition is it in? Go to the page at VMR that describes the condition rating system if you need help.

If possible, please post some photos. People on this site love to look at other people's cars.

I hope all of this information helps you decide what to do with your car. If you choose to restore it, this site will be invaluable to you.

Thanks for the info ,what a great fourm.Don't know what way i'am going. The body has no dents and chrome is great but needs rubber and interior.Just pulled the motor to do the valve seats and rebuild.I know alot of people would put back to stock but seems it would take more money than book , although it would make a great resto rod type but don't touch the body or motor would leave stock.
