I have a 10 page manual for Titled "1960 Front Seat Servicing Information".   Can the information in this manual be used to trouble shoot and service the 6 way power seats in my 1962 Series 62 Cadillac?

Thanks much!

I have the same question in regards to a 57 six way power seat!  Can anyone help?  ARE there special bulletins for that year a well?

The 57 has a complex system of worm gears and shafts, I believe the the 60 and 62 use solenoids and cables to turn individual gear drives in the seat, I am sure someone can jump in here with maybe more accurate info.

I can't see the manual you have for 1960,but there were two different 6-way seats used in 1960. Cadillac did issue an update to the 60 manual for the new seat, but my copy is 12 pages.Cadillac went to electric seat controls in 1954 with 2 and 4 way seats. In 1956 ,they introduced a 6-way seat . Then in 1957 a new 6-way , again in 1959 , again in mid 1960  and again in 1964. Type 1 for 1960 was called 3 motor ,it was used untill engine break points Style 6029 -engine#067511,style6437 -#067638,6337-067503,6339-067501, 6329-067504'6229-069501'6237-067514 and6239-069502.Then the new single motor varity replaced it thru 1963. The single motor type runs all the power to a transmission which turns three pair of cables. If your manual is for this type it should work on the 1962. This information is also in the shop manual. I would use the shop manual since it could be updated on wire colors etc.
The 1957 type is also covered in the body part of the 1957 shop manual. The 1960 manual would be of no help on the 57-58 seat. Warren
